Herbert of Liverpool gave 50 mums a makeover at the weekend to ensure that they looked fabulous for Mothers Day.

The whole team at the Bling Bling building welcomed their VIP guests with champagne and orchids before giving them their special makeover treat.

Ricky Tomlinson called in to say hello, in character as Jim Royle, and the Lord and Lady Mayoress joined the party atmosphere and let the invited guests know how much they were appreciated by their loved ones.

Spare a thought for Lord Major Paul Clark who told me…. “The ladies all look so different with their hair wet and combed back that I am not quite sure which lovely ladies I have already spoken to – so I think I might be introducing myself twice!

Comment of the day for me was when Radio City’s Kev Seed saw this lovely lady in a chair and piped up with “don’t you think Herbert would invest in smaller music speakers for his clients…..!!”
